During construction, the original blue and white mosaic street names in the curbs at the northeast corner of Norhill and Bayland in Houston's Heights were damaged when laying the sidewalk access ramps. Committed to the historic significance and aesthetics if the blue tiles in the neighborhood, WhitestoneBuilders.com contacted the BlueTileProject.com and CurbAppealBlues.com to restore the street designations. On March 31, 2018, the curbs at 1033 Bayland were retrofitted with the "3200 Norhill" and "1000 Bayland" block markings hand crafted in the USA with historically accurate tiles. This is a great example of a builder committed to the neighborhood showing that it is possible to meet current day accessibility needs and preserve the image of the historic blue tile block designations!
